New compartment of marine mammals
The MUDAB now also includes the marine mammal compartment. When dead marine mammals such as seals or dolphins wash up on the beaches of the North Sea or Baltic Sea, various examinations and measurements are carried out on them. This information is then transferred to the MUDAB.
Nitrate Report 2024 published
The 2024 Nitrate Report was published by the Federal Environment Agency (UBA). The MUDAB contains the data on the marine area. Using a map application, you can explore the status of nitrate pollution in the North and Baltic Seas for the current reporting cycle as well as the development of nitrate pollution compared to the last reporting cycle.
New Application to the Macrophyte Atlas
The atlas on the distribution of underwater macrophytes was published in 2022 by MariLim (Gesellschaft für Gewässer-untersuchung mbH). The data on historical and current finds in the Baltic Sea are now included in the MUDAB and can be researched digitally. Browse through our various applications.
